1. Delivery Model & Delivery Network

Pet Food City operates its own dedicated in-house delivery department rather than utilizing third-party couriers. This allows us to handle heavy pet food bags with extreme care, maintain direct control over dispatch times, and deliver directly to your doorstep across Pretoria and surrounding areas.

2. No Click & Collect / Direct Delivery Only

Please note that Pet Food City operates exclusively via direct store-to-door delivery. We do not offer Click and Collect or in-store order pickups. All online purchases are delivered directly to your specified residence or business address via our delivery fleet.

3. Distance-Based Delivery Rates & Free Delivery

Delivery fees are calculated transparently during the checkout process based on the distance from our store location to your physical delivery address:

0 – 5 km Radius: R30.00

5 – 15 km Radius: R50.00

15 – 20 km Radius: R80.00

20 – 30 km Radius: R100.00

FREE DELIVERY (Orders R1,500+):All orders with a total purchase value of R1,500.00 or more qualify for 100% FREE delivery within our 30km operational service zone. No delivery fee will be charged at checkout for qualifying orders.

4. Dispatch Cut-Off Times & Operational Schedule

We strive to fulfill and dispatch all orders promptly to ensure your pets never run out of food:

Daily Dispatch Cut-Off: The daily cut-off time for same-day dispatch is 12:00 (12:00 AM), Monday to Saturday.

Same-Day Dispatch: Orders placed and payment-confirmed prior to 14:00 Monday through Saturday will be dispatched on the same day.

Late Orders: Orders received after 12:00 AM Monday through Friday will be dispatched on the following business day.

Sunday Operations: Pet Food City does not operate or conduct deliveries on Sundays. Orders received after 12:00 AM on Saturday or anytime on Sunday will be dispatched on Monday morning.

5. Order Tracking & Communication

Once your order is processed and scheduled for dispatch, our delivery team will send order updates via SMS, Email, or WhatsApp. On the day of delivery, our driver may contact you directly to confirm that an adult is present at the address to receive the delivery.

6. Receipt of Goods & Inspection

To ensure order accuracy and product condition upon arrival:

Presence at Delivery Address:An adult (18 years or older) must be present at the delivery address to sign for or receive the order.

Inspection on Delivery:Please inspect outer packaging upon receipt. Any missing items or damaged packages must be reported to our driver immediately or logged with customer support within 48 hours.

7. Address Accuracy & Failed Deliveries

Please ensure that your physical address and contact details provided at checkout are accurate. If our driver is unable to deliver due to incorrect address information, security gate access failure, or no recipient being available after prior delivery notification, a re-delivery fee corresponding to your distance zone may apply.
